In 1928, Westinghouse Electric Corporation's hydroelectric generators, transformers, and other electrical apparatus began harnessing the great power of the Pacific Northwest's waterways; unleashing a great new wave of commerce in the region. To maintain these electrical machines, Westinghouse established a major service center in Seattle, Washington.
As the successor entity to that organization, still operating from the expansive and well equipped former Westinghouse facility, Seattle Industrial Motor & Machine Company - SIMMCO - is the largest and most capable electrical apparatus service center in the Pacific Northwest Region. Located in Seattle, WA, SIMMCO provides repair & preventive maintenance services to utilities, refineries, heavy industry, mining, government, marine, and military clients.
